Real Madrid wish Manchester City keeper Claudio Bravo well after injury

Man City were thrown into momentary disarray last week when back-up goalkeeper Claudio Bravo succumbed to major injury in training, leaving them with just one fit senior stopper in the squad.

Bravo suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon and has since undergone surgery, with the Chile international likely to miss the entire 2018-19 season as a result.

Given that Bravo spent two years of his career as a Barcelona player, it therefore comes as something of a surprise that Real Madrid have been quick to...

Manchester City won't sign Claudio Bravo replacement - Pep Guardiola

MANCHESTER -- Pep Guardiola has said Manchester City will not be signing an out-of-contract goalkeeper to cover the loss of Claudio Bravo.

Bravo had an operation on a ruptured Achilles tendon and, although no timescale has been put on his return, is expected to be out for around six months.

City recalled Montenegro under-21 international Aro Muric from a season-long loan at Dutch side NAC Breda as cover, and Guardiola said he was their only consideration with the transfer window closed and no possibility...

Claudio Bravo ruptures Achilles tendon at Manchester City training

Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is facing a lengthy spell out after damaging his Achilles tendon in training on Monday.

The Chile international will fly to Barcelona for tests on a ruptured tendon in his left foot tomorrow, which could potentially rule him out for up to six months.

City said in a statement: "Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has sustained an Achilles tendon injury in today's training session.

"The Chilean keeper underwent scans this afternoon which have confirmed...

Man City keeper Claudio Bravo in no hurry to leave after penalty heroics

LEICESTER -- Claudio Bravo has said he is no rush to leave Manchester City despite losing his place as first-choice goalkeeper.

Bravo made only his third start of the season in Tuesday's Carabao Cup victory at Leicester City after losing his place to summer signing Ederson.

But the Chile international, who helped City to win on penalties, told reporters: "I have things super clear. Things have come out in articles or whatnot, but life is not just football, there are a lot of other things [like]...

Claudio Bravo Manchester City's Carabao Cup hero once again

Manchester City and the League Cup have always been a comfortable fit, but here City again waited until after the trains had stopped running to gain access to the semifinals of this year's tournament -- a third appearance at this stage in the last five years.

Pep Guardiola's side needed a penalty shootout -- for the second round in a row -- to get past Leicester City and reached the last four after the game finished 1-1.

With a side liberally sprinkled with youth team prospects, Guardiola's jig across...
